| We had the opportunity to visit an "Elephant Farm". It does a lot of business entertaining tourists with performing elephants. Watching these elephants is much better than going to a circus!
First they wash-up and refresh in the stream before their next performance! It's nice when your young elephant can put your lost hat where it belongs. Some baby elephants are painters! (artwork for sale...) They are also musicians - they played harmonicas, but it was hard to see the harmonicas in my photos. When they get older, they also play some "soccer", or rather, kickball. You should see the rear leg technique! And after the performance, everyone wants to get close to visit the stars of the show. Judy took an elephant ride around the mountainside. Ben Clary is riding with her. Half of our group rode elephants, while the other half (including Ray) went to visit the baby elephant nursery.
Ray pets a 3 month old elephant, while Joan Cram gets a sitting acquaintance with a happy youth. Some enjoyed an 'uplifting' experience with the adult elephants. Here, Terry Bunge is enjoying an elephant ride of a different sort.
